ARTWORK. The wall mural and accent room murals are courtesy of “Art Boutique” in Playa del Coco created by the talented artist named Lali. We highly recommend visiting her store for amazing local gifts and selected artworks.

LOCATED. Pura Vista Hotel is located in the beautiful quiet beach cove called Playa Ocotal, just 1.5 miles from the town Playa del Coco. With panoramic views of the Great Pacific Ocean, we are perched above the trees gazing towards Costa Rica’s largest national park, Santa Rosa. Witches Rock, world renown surf destination is perfectly centered in view from the property for the dreamers and landscape aficionados.

CHECK IN+STAY. We are boutique with self-check in, parking inside gate for compact cars, first come first serve and street parking for oversize. From the website we offer restaurant options, links for tour guides and most importantly hotel support via online/text/whatsapp.

GET AROUND. Time can stand still as you relax poolside or adventure awaits with day tours at your fingertips and only 30 miles from LIR airport. We recommend for longer stays having your own transportation of either automobile or local golf carts to get into Coco and self guided day tours. You’ll find easy walks to the beach, hikes up and around Ocotal mountain, Over to even quieter Playa Azul.

LA FAMILIA PURA VISTA

First time hoteliers Thisbe & Mark, parents of 3 little works of art, professional photographers, underwater photographers, divers, adventurists and environmentalists at heart. They took over the hotel Fall of 2023 with the goal to add their expertise in tourisim and art with fingers on the pulse of wellness, nature and adventure and strong connection to the community.

It’s a family run business and you’ll likely see them running around with kids, doing the coral project, staying super active around the property, school activities and other community projects and exploration.

If you have questions about your stay or overall Costa Ria adventures just ask. Mark is Tico and grew up here while Thisbe Grace has known and loved CR for over 27 years. They are both super passionate about the natural wonders of this beautiful country, art and wellness, especially the ocean.

LOS GATOS

Also on the property are The Gatos. The Four Amigos. Say HELLO to Chancla (Reina), Gorda (Princessa), Cosmo and Panther. They are siblings that came to us just a few weeks old for the hotel ambassador position and were hired unanimously. Lol. Now about a year old, they are very well fed, so don’t be fooled when they approach for a snack (Wink). While they like to visit anyone willing to entertain them - it is recommended to check your room in case one has slipped in for a longer stay. Lol….
